Staying at 'aspirational' properties on points is now only for the very points rich. But there is good value to be had in a few gems -- but I'm concerned these may be 'mistake' rates since the points requirements are very significantly lower than before.

Is there any way to lock these in and book them now? Am looking for a stay in early April in one property, so availability so late may also be an issue.
