I had a similar problem with DL recently. Web site drppoed two letters of my middle name, which I had to correct because of immigration, etc. DL insisted they couldn't just fix it, they had to reissue the ticket. So I got referred to the reissue department.
At first I thought it was typo on my part, but when it happened again a couple of weeks later I realized it was a web site glitch. Again, they had to reissue the ticket.
One wonders about an airline that needs a whole department to reissue tickets.
