Maximising lounge time at T5 on ski trip...

Sorry for the oblique title but a bit tricky to summarise the question in the header!

Quick bit of advice please:

- I am flying Eurotraveller to GVA with wife. We'll have one main bag to check in, plus a ski boot bag each. Normally not an issue as the latter go free

- Having flown CW to Asia a fortnight ago and enjoyed the Terraces (and Sakura Lounge at Haneda), I'm keen to use the Marco Polo card to do the same now.

- Thing is, we'll arrive at T5 separately; she'll get there just about an hour before travel, whereas I can potentially be there well in advance. I'll have all the luggage as driving, and she'll be travelling light from work with hand luggage only.

So the minor dilemma is, do I get there early, try to and check in 3 items (1 main bag, 2 ski bags) and convince them not to charge me extra, and enjoy the lounge for a while; and she comes a while later and checks in nothing; or do I need to wait for her pre-check in so we can split the baggage check-in? The latter means no lounge time

If it all sounds a bit ungallant, fact is she won't make it in time for the lounge anyway, and doesn't mind me going in first to make the most of it - but just trying to figure out how to handle the bags. Will they let me check in 3 items without charge, on the basis that 2 of them are sports equipment and my wife won't be checking anything in later?

The Excess Baggage company will take and hold an item for £5 short-term, but is no use as they won't let her pick it up if I deposit it...

Any tips welcome!
