Using AXON for 4 nights = 36,250/night
+ Regular rate for 1 night = 50,000/night
Total: 195,000 for 5 night stay or 39,000/night

OR

C+P = 25,000 night + $130
125,000 night + $650

Lowest rate is $430/night

I calculate @ $430 vs 39K points /night is basically 90.7 pts/$ or $0.011/point
So 25,000 * $.011 = $275.64 + $130 = $405 (Equivalent cash value of C+P)

And if I were to calculate the points value of $405, it would be 36,791 points; for a total of 183,953 points, which is lower than the 195,000 AXON+1 night award (by 11,047 points).

So technically, C+P would be cheaper @ $405 cash equivalent than the $430 cash rate ($125 total) or 11,047 points total.

All this means the C+P option is slightly better.

How does the numbers look? Or is there another way to look at it. Please note paying for cash is not an option; it is either all points or C+P that I'm trying to determine here.
You dont mention the hotel, dates. But with AXON "possibly" being eliminated and major deval of program, I would burn my points and keep cash. HH points will be worth less, except for a very few properties. Just my 2 cents. Did you try VIP awards for 5 nights? Maybe with deval you can get 5th night free?
