Hey just wanted to update my final decision. I ended up going for the AC/TK option. After reading all of your suggestions and further research (read obsessing lol) my first choice was the US/TG option. However, aeroplan charges a hefty fuel surcharge, except for some reason on the flights operated by TK. I found it amusing that aeroplan was charging a surcharge for flights on Air Canada but not Turkish Airlines. The surcharge for the TK/AC combo was around $275 while the surcharge for all the other options was almost $1000. I know that is still a bargain for a business class seat to thailand, however, this was just a splurge trip to burn miles that otherwise would have expired and I'd rather spend the extra $750 on hotels rather than the airfare. I do have a bunch of miles on United as well, and they do not charge a fuel surcharge so maybe I can use those to try TG next time. Thanks so much for you help again. I will be sure to report on my flight after my trip.
