There is good news behind the article as it means that there are more small towns through which one will be able to easily avoid body scanners by using their airports.

The bad news is that it may end some of the few remaining SDOO lines available at major airports. I am actually concerned about an itinerary that I planned in March based upon the assumption that the airport would still not have body scanners at one of the terminals then.

Also--the other bad news is that the airports are upset that the body scanners are going away! This really upsets me that there is now an attitude where people want body scanners. Is this the prevailing attitude now among flyers across the US?
