Ahem. Personally I have no fears about BA and would also be confident in the mainline US carriers on the basis that they would be sued out of existence if one of their planes went down in a preventable accident. Otherwise i'd be confident in any carrier operating in places with strict air safety rules but more confident in some carriers than others - i wouldn't go out of my way to fly on AF but I probably wouldn't make a major detour to avoid it either
