T3 security was exceptionally pedantic and pathetic this morning. Who knew that toiletry bags have to be airtight?! The poor lady working security thought it as dumb as me and encouraged the completion of a feedback form. It appears the person in charge of T3 security is a total jobsworth (and no doubt Daily Mail reader who disapproves of foreigners) hence their keenness to leave a bad impression on visitors. I actually apologised to the Scandinavian couple behind me for British stupidity.

There is now a sign in T3 advertising transfers to other terminals for shopping if you have more than 3 hours before your flight. Looks like BAA are loosening the rules about terminal hopping which may be of use to some...
