Some people pay for all their stays out of their pocket and care where they stay, others are on a clients dime and don't care so much.
Some hotels have a better points redemption under the new values, some don't.
It's not a one size fits all, everybody needs to work the numbers as to how they apply to how they use the chain and make the determination. For some it may be a program they consider to be a bargain, for others it stopped being that years ago.
Mike, I tend to agree with much of what you say. Things, generally, aren't black or white. However, I have no problem with the discussion within this thread as its hard to argue that against the fact that this has been a major point devaluation almost across the board by Hilton. The fact is that more than half of the 3900 properties worldwide will cost more in redemption after 3/28 than before.
