I am sure the airline thought otherwise 
I have travelled in 12.5k tickets to bkk on a wide body a333,then why would I pay similarly for a a330 with no frills ? On BOM-bkk and DEL--bkk there are others such as Thai and Cathay who compete as well, and they have a focus on profitability or so I would like to believe
I am sure they did and also they know much more than me atleast and hence I raised the question here
