Recently made reservations for Venetian for June. When making the reservation I was given the option of declining their resort fee, which I did. My brother also was given the option to decline when he made his reservation at the Venetian. I was told I can always choose later to pay the resort fee if I decide I want to receive the related services. Seems like a pretty reasonable approach to resort fees if this is indeed the new policy at the V.
