1. UC's just like other defined spaces are gnerally subject to capacity controls as per local fire, airport or other safety regulations.

2. Whether you're there because you pay for a "membership" (let's not pretend it's a real private club and acknowledge that it's marketing hype for access to a place with stale goldfish included), a day pass, a CC, *G status) or whatever, somebody is paying for it and it's not as though "members" have a better claim.

Compnsation due = not. Some small CS gesture such as a couple of miles or a coupon for a real drink, maybe.

Or better put, even theoretically sophisticated travelers will shell out $400 or thereabouts and not even read the t&c.
