Many of us know the crowds at United Clubs are out of control. In a first for me today I was refused entry as the club at MSP had no more seats or standing room left. I understand that safety concerns make it prudent to refuse my entry. As a paid member I find the overcrowding to be unacceptable. I asked for a pass to another airline club at the same airport which seems reasonable but they have no authority to grant this. What if anything would you do about this?
I think appropriate compensation would be $50 or a coupon that gets you access to some other lounge of your choice in future.
They took your money, promised you access to the lounge in exchange for taking that money, then when you show up to use the lounge, they refuse entry to you. Absolutely incredible the lows this company keeps sinking to. With each passing day, I find fewer and fewer memories of the company that used to be called United Airlines.
