This is flight 64 on AA, which I take often. I don't know what EL AL's rules are, but AA lets you check in 24 hours before flt. time.
Lately there are long lines, even for the Priority Access/BC/FC lane--getting through security could take as much as 30 minutes [TSA precheck, does not seem to work for intl., even if you are in the system.
There are too many places where things can go wrong, delayed trains (Amtrak, LIRR, Airtrain).
The only way this could work out is if AA 64 has a delayed departure, which from personal experience is the norm

here, AA64 has taken off on time at 6:10 pm once in the past 30 days, and is often very late!
I know for sure that I can make the 2:30pm Acela from 30th Street. The big question remains is whether or not I can check in online for my flight as it is operated by AA.
Does anyone know definitively? I have never done an online check in for an international flight before!
I am a US citizen flying from JFK-ZRH-TLV-LHR-JFK. No checked bags. No VISA requirements ahead of time.
As far as security goes, I have Star Alliance Gold if that will help speed things up a bit. No idea, considering it isn't a Star Alliance carrier and I'm very unfamiliar with JFK.
