Absolutely. And LAN is playing up their presence (did you know that to fly LA to MVD from EZE they route you through SCL? At least that's all I found on a recent search). Plus with Qantas now flying out of SCL, there are a lot more connecting passengers to other SA destinations. AA has increased frequency of MIA flights, and there is WILD speculation about EK coming in...(
