I've found some writing that suggests a portion of Turkey is "technically" in Europe, and of course, politically, Turkey has ties with Europe, but suggesting that Turkey is not part of the Middle East does not seem right. At least, we can agree there are different views and ways to interpret this.
But, if I make a statement that Turkey is part of Middle East, and the CIA also classifies Turkey as being part of the Middle East, as well as several other sources, then it's far from clear that my statement is wrong.
