Agreed. I always enjoy my trips to Turkey.

In the context of this thread, I do find a lot of Americans misplace Turkey in the Middle East, and even on page one the terms 'terrorist' and 'Middle East' were used together, both hot buttons with many people in the US.

It wasn't a flight to the Middle East; it was a flight to Europe's 6th busiest airport, located in a secular democratic republic.

I was vocal about having the Europe forum on FT renamed to accurately reflect the location of Turkey as I was sick and tired of having to find information under the wrong fora.
