I always thought the systemwide was valid on any route. In fact, I have used my four on NA routes. I had no problem....perhaps I was just lucky.

Anyway, the upgrade policy is more generous for Elites...and thank you Aeroplan. I was waiting for the Elite package to arrive to make my statement.
