You've just hit the jackpot. Insist that they re-route you. I'd suggest you go on ac.com first and find the flights you want and specifically request them. They likely will need to be roguhly in line with your current arrival or departure time.

Don't let them send you on some milk run - it's their problem they need to fix it.
