First time in the CX forum. I did a thread search and couldn't find the info and wanted to see if any HKG experts can shed insight.

I will be on an OZ flight (ICN-HKG) that arrives at 11:20pm, then will connect on CX flight (HGK-SIN) that departs at 1:30am+1. 2h10m connection time, but they are on different PNR's. Couple of questions:

1) How does the connection work in HKG? Assuming I will clear HK immigration, then pick up luggage, have to exit and check-in at CX then clear security again. Is that how it works, or is there a CX transfer desk after I pick up my luggage where I don't have to exit and re-clear security? I will be traveling with US passport.

2) Is 2h10m connection time sufficient? For what it's worth, I'm in OZ Business ICN-HKG, then depart CX Economy HKG-SIN.
