I would only add one comment to the excellent suggestions made above: With KL on your doorstep, and an excellent regional network now on oneworld, this may be one local factor involved, in terms of both Avios earning and spending.

What I would do is list out what in the ideal world you'd like to achieve with your Avios/miles, how BA, MH or SQ could meet that ideal, and whether the earning opportunities make it feasible or not.
