mFT has been around for quite a while and is certainly no secret - plenty of people know of its existence and it has been discussed at every Do I can remember. As the site is not involved in awarding contracts or making decisions about people's lives I fail to see where there is a conflict of interest. When I was appointed as a Mod here I was clear and upfront about my involvement there and trusted to make the right call.

To describe it as a clique or the masons is a touch ambitious too. While some who know one another well, many others are only Internet friends just like on FT.

To be honest I value my membership there as it resembles the old FT with a greater focus on knowledgeable people talking about flying and travel and less on the chiselling of every last Avios/glass of bubbles/packet of crisps. As I have commented before there is a limit to the number of times you can cope with about the best seat in CW or endless threads on churning credit cards.

As for the video, all I can say is ICN Do. Just to be clear I am not involved in either!

At the end of the day, we are now bickering about Internet sites talking about frequent flyer programmes. To quote from the Australian vernacular, people should "grow some" and not get stressed about it.
