Most odd that the mods from here all hang out over there, too, although some of them use slightly different handles - presumably because they're all too aware of the greyness.

It's cliquey I guess in that people who are invited are of a like mind to the existing membership - ie disenchanted with Flyertalk. But to be honest I'm not sure we are in a position to criticise there. There certainly is criticism of BAFT. Again this is not surprising considering the members tend to be disenchanted with BAFT, although it often spills over into ridicule and name calling of specific individuals which is far less attractive.

But mostly it's a group of people who have got together, set up their own private forum, are recruiting their members from BAFT and who chat about travel. Nothing illegal about that, although it wouldn't please FT head office I wouldn't think! And they seems to be quite successful at it. There is now a core of very active members over there, some of whom post here too and some who don't. And it's not without precedent. It's a bit like when v-flyer.com splintered of from FT all those years ago.
