So to have a record of it, and in case they tried to claim I no showed, I had them issue the boarding passes. I then went to a service center and cancelled the flights but kept the tickets to show they were going to put me in y.

Then went to my UA flt and slept most of the way home. I actually printed out the itinerary from LX which as of two days before flight showed me in F from GVA. The fact that they do not tell passengers they are going to be downgraded until they get to the airport and start their trip is really a bad business practice.

I think it helps that my BP on LX from NRT-ZRH is a LX BP and shows me in F. I don't know how many judges are aware of code shares, etc. I can't wait to hear LX explain why I was ok to fly on them in F but then after I start my trip they decide the ticket was issued incorrectly and now I can't fly in F....
