Perhaps the first time I sat in a 744 UD window seat in CW. Taking off while facing rearwards was a new experience. First time in BA F in comparison certainly wasn't anything special. But to me the 2 most memorable experiences both involved the LHR-MAN shuttle. 1. 1983. The first time I took off in a brand new 757 which climbed like a rocket. 2. Same year I believe when 3 of us got the back-up Trident to ourselves when the first plane oversold. Although advertised I always wondered how often the guaranteed planes were ever used.
