Is there a lounge?
Any comments on the pool area also welcome.
Thanks.
Don't recall paying any resort fees on any of our four stays at this property. We're Platinum but I don't remember a lounge or Concierge floor here either. If you're going this month or next be prepared for some very chilly days and nights; it's just not the warm weather winter resort the Chamber of Commerce likes to promote. Weekends here can get very busy with mobs of children wanting to use the pool. Best to go weekdays/nights when the hotel is sparsely occupied. This has been one of our very favorite Marriott properties over the years; there's just little to complain about. The pool is lovely except when it is overrun by the mobs of children I mentioned earlier. Also, the hotel is classified as a hotel and not as a "resort" according to my last check of the Marriott R & R's. You'll have a great stay; just don't expect a sub-tropical paradise. Addendum: The hotel is attached to the Palm Springs Convention Center so if there is a major state or national conference going on while you're there, be prepared to share the hotel with hoards of others. I'd call ahead to see what's going on at the Convention Center and try to avoid any stays that overlap with a major convention.
