You don't actually have to type anything, it gets auto-filled by the servers if you do click through to the "enter passenger info" page. So I don't think it'll hurt your TSA-pre ability (we don't have precheck at the airports I normally fly, so I can't confirm that though). That should get you to the review & purchase page that you'll need to confirm your eligibility.
