Six weeks in Europe, especially with an expectation of doing some travel once there, I'd want a bit of a larger backpack that I could stock with one week's worth of clothes. I'd still stay well under 20 kilograms total: if you take an internal European flight, that may be your baggage allowance (not 50 pounds).
I would spend exactly zero time actually doing laundry: I'd just drop the clothes off at laundromats when necessary. I've never had an issue in any kind of sizable European city finding a laundromat that could do a 1-day turnaround at reasonable costs.
If the suit is required for just one meeting, I'd probably start my trip with it clean and ask the hotel to press it. No need for a separate dry-clean over there.
