Several reasons:
  1. I've got hundreds of thousands of AAdvantage miles, which I'm keen to avoid marooning (along with being well on my way to million miler on AA, with not a dime of credit card spend)
  2. I prefer the AA award chart
  3. I still earn enough BA miles through ancillary sources (anyone who lives in Britain accrues BA miles, it's kind of hard not to), so I can still MFU to CW and credit to AA
  4. Systemwide Upgrades from cheapo economy to business
