I'm in the same boat as
Microwave. For my travel patterns and destinations, AAdvantage gives me more than the Executive Club, despite being based in LON.
It can be a bit of a battle sometimes (a BA check-in agent recently insisted that there was no extra baggage allowance for EXPs, only for the higher-level AA Platinums, and the aforementioned Arrivals Lounge roulette), but
some streamlining is coming soon.
