And there would be the most likely source of the problems. I'd hazard to guess not a lot of deicing is happening while unloading pax from an A340 onto a bunch of buses... Oh and having a smoking plane on the deicing pad.
Did AC (and GTAA to a lesser extent) handle it well? Not really, but I'd like to see the airlines that have the play for suspected fire in the deicing bay in their playbook.
