I agree. Priority security and check-in are great time savers along with the free bag when needed.

I have had a fairly high upgrade percentage as a silver though I tend to fly during non-business traveler times. I have even had 4 transcons in the last few months upgraded.

I do think things will change with the new AA. Nobody knows how UGs will be awarded (stickers vs. complimentary unlimited) but with a bigger pool of elites, I suspect Silvers will get squeezed out of upgrades.
