Out of interest, are we talking about the AF or KLM tool?
Either way, I find the multi-city booking tools extremely useful when they work - but as noted here, they can be quite quirky in terms of which flights they show, or don't show.

Interesting. I'd certainly realised that the multi-city tool requires a long transit time than the regular took requires (which appears to work with the published minimum connection time) - but I hadn't worked out that the multi-city tool works to a fixed minimum of 2hrs.
The multi-city tools also don't appear to give so much control over fare class selection - for example, the KLM one only offers 'cheapest available economy' and 'cheapest available business', with no option to select a more flexible fare, should you so desire...
