This is possibly great for originating LHR pax. But, it would be a nightmare for anybody connecting through LHR to a US destination. Not only would the MCT need to be significantly increased, but because the carrier doesn't control the pax flow through the FIS, there would be endless disputes about who caused a misconnect.

Not much in this for pax, the UK, carriers or the USA.
