You would think that after all the missteps of the past and the threats from the competition, may it be the AA comp offer or the whole US/AA merger now, that UA would in one way or the other react. Yet there is a deadly quietness, nothing. They accuse us of being over entitled, they keep screwing up the boarding process, forget about Shares, the fares are out of this world, the coffee situation, the seat configuration in the 787, the changes to the luggage allowance, he 1 MM program, so much more, too many things to bring up. What are they thinking???? The competition is laughing at them. Why is no one reacting at UA HQ? Do they think everything is honkidoree ( is that a word?)?
With a long-haul market that is becoming increasingly oligopolistic, they think they can make money regardless of the customer-unfriendly moves they and the remaining legacy majors make to the "loyalty" programs -- for the rest of the market, the oligopolistic players expect "network" benefits to carry them.
