Walking around the mark Hopkins is as pleasure because you're already up hill. Walking around the SF is a pain because you need to get uphill :-::-:

The MH is the nicer more classic property and they are very good with upgrades. I recently booked a 900 Dollar suite with a Bogo and ended up in a 2000 dollar suite as a two category upgrade. I then booked a 120 Dollar standard room and ended up in a 380 Dollar one bedroom suite. Lounge is by far nicer than in the SF. The SF could be everywhere, THE MH is a SF landmark.
