Not sure - this was my first stay, so can't compare, sorry. Some of the fixtures in the room looked new, the bathroom looked old and the corridor was very old - very thin doors. Ground floor breakfast area was definitely new.

It reminded me of Sheraton Heathrow. Refurbishment = lipstick on a pig!
