MSP-SEA on January 25th and February 8th I failed the pre-check at MSP. On the 25th it was the first time I'd not gone through without an issue. Two other people right in front of me were pre-check also...and they failed as well. When I didn't get the triple beep on the 8th I asked the TSO what was up. He said that there was a 'new' directive and if we'd changed our seats or gotten upgraded we wouldn't get triple beeped.
Has anyone else heard anything about this. Since I get upgraded regularly...I'm kind of hoping this isn't true!
Nah. I've had several BPs that had new seat assignments, and Pre-Check worked just fine..
Likely another clerk making up something.
It's possible that the BP might not have been properly encoded, which I recall has happened with some stations. (Can PDX still not print Pre-Check enabled BPs behind the counter?)
