Maybe Tumi has finally decided to salvage the good name the built over the years that was damaged when they changed warranty terms (including on items previously purchased) and started denying just about everything as uncovered wear and tear.

Yeah, I'm a bit bitter. I brought in a briefcase in good condition except for some rips in the ballistic for warranty coverage and was rejected. I had half a mind to buy a new brand after that experience, but I still think they have the nicest stuff in the market (I have ~8 Tumi items).
