Don't use this card for gas stations. Amex put a $150 hold on this card when I got gas. Two days later the hold is still there even though the $40 gas transaction is completed.
I called and asked them to remove the hold. They said it takes 8 calendar days for the hold to be removed! I know holds are standard for gas transactions but 8 days is ridiculous.
You can always go in and pre-auth a smaller amount, say $50.
