great place to have a long lay-over, the city is easy accesible by train, get a ticket and with in 10 - 15 min your at zurich main staion. buy a return ticket airport - main station , and it is good for 24 hrs , including trams and buses in the central part of zurich. Form the main staion ther are alot a things easy to reach by foot, Lake zurich about 15 min walk, or the shopping mile "Bahnhof strasse" is right next to that train staion, go for a stroll thru the "Niederdorf" lots of places to eat and drink. or visit some of the old Buildings. is easy to spend a few hrs... enjoy
