Wanted to go from BWI->LHR from Dec 25-30 using the usual WTP->CW UuA, but no availability (and no BWI flight on the 25th). So I ended up booking IAD->LHR in CW (only $200 more than WTP for some reason) and then WTP on the LHR->BWI leg.

Two days before the first flight I checked MMB and got both legs upgraded. First on Christmas day sure was nice and got extremely well taken care of. Nothing to do with the two boxes of chocolates I handed the CSD for the crew to make up for them flying on Christmas of course

As mkjr says, check daily.
