Wish we had a place that had the best of both but for now, I have to base myself in YYZ where all the decisions are made. Also, as I'm relatively young, from my perspective YVR is beautiful but a bore. But I'm a city boy and the 2 month summers just didn't cut it for me. Travel from YVR is great though. Rarely a nightmare in my experience. And they have light rail transit to the airport. What a concept! And great for doing sfo/lax/phx/psp type weekends. Just my 2 cents.
Nailed it!

People live in YYZ because they feel they "have to."

People live in YVR because they want to.
