YVR is amazing, It is a totally different lifestyle. If you appreciate the outdoors, there are no questions that your quality of life will be substantially higher here. Vancouver definitely moves at a different speed than Toronto. People in YVR are not as consumed by work as people in YYZ. People just leave at 5PM to enjoy the great outdoors. Everything can wait until the next day. So, it is a totally different mentality than Toronto. The rain can be much at times but I guess that's the time to go to LAX, SFO or Hawaii. In terms of flying, it is more expensive here but you will probably get more miles for your trips as everything is so far away. I think it is a good decision to move out west, you might increase your life expectancy by a few years!
