This is assuming AAdvantage won't change that part of the program. It's also possible that they would match the competition and begin giving upgrades away for free to elites instaed of requiring the 500 mile E-upgrades.
I do hope, however, that they allow us to combine our lifetime mileage towards lifetime gold and plat....
