This has not been my experience. I did one trip with a new Rimowa Topas checked case over Xmas and New Year that is now bent out of shape with a warped frame that no longer seals. I contacted Rimowa who could not care less blaming the airline despite the fact that my wife's flimsier heavier Tumi bag only had one minor scuff from the same trip.
If I want it repaired I have to pay myself but I don't think I shall bother I will just buy a new Tumi. This is very disappointing after spending a total of 1400 euros on a new Topas cabin and checked luggage bag.
I certainly will not ever buy another Rimowa
