Tell us your unusual connection airports

We all connect during our air travels. Sometimes because it's the only way to get from here to there, sometimes because it's cheaper than the nonstops, sometimes intentionally to add segments or build miles. Usually the connection airports are hubs or larger airports where many other pax connect.

But have you also connected at airports that are typically ends of the hub-and-spoke system? You know, those airports where they don't see a connecting passenger every day, where the baggage handlers dump all bags on the belt without even looking at the tags because they never ever expect to see a connecting bag, and where the gate agent will look twice at her screen in amazement when she sees a connecting passenger. And I don't mean immediate turnarounds (MRs), but an actual connection AAA-BBB-CCC where BBB is an unusual connection airport.

Let me start this off.

I connected at EUG on a DEN-EUG-SEA.
I connected at BLQ on a AMS-BLQ-FCO. Yes, they unloaded my connecting bags at BLQ.
I connected at EGE on a DEN-EGE-EWR.
I almost connected at ESC on a DTW-ESC-MSP (had ticketed, but an irop nixed it)
I connected at FNC on a PDL-FNC-LIS. Don't know if this is that unusual.

How about you? Where have you connected?
