No, that was most definitely not the platinum override for the two reasons you mentioned. There are only two possibilities I can see here:

- There is an IT screwup somewhere with the website showing rates and rooms that aren't actually available.
- The FD agent is lying to you in a bizarre ploy to sucker $95 out of a few additional guests.

I think the second possibility is more likely, though still strange, so if I were you I'd take that screen shot to the manager on duty and bluntly but politely ask what's going on. They should be able to either fix the IT glitch or retrain that front desk associate (unless it's a management-condoned practice at this hotel to screw guests, in which case you might want to take your business elsewhere).
