I just noticed the the airline has added a class called Premium Economy (Premium Rouge) to my flight and we would like to upgrade.

The cost for these premium seats, as a new booking would be $11,470. However, my TA, after speaking to an Air Canada rep, said that the cost would be an additional $1550 pp plus $1438 for a child. This would mean that we'd be paying almost $15,000 for the exact same flight!!

Does this make sense to anyone or is it possible that the TA mis-interpreted the information she received?

I called AC myself but the agent was unable to help me as he couldn't see any prices on the itinerary that my TA prepared. I don't even know who else to contact.

$1,550 additonal per adult sounds about right.

The fare difference between Rouge Flex and Premium is about $500 each way, using mid-July as an example. Return will be $1,000 plus the change fee of ??? ($250???) from Flex to PE. The fare difference on your travel dates may be higher.

AC used to offer an upgrade to "Comfort Plus" on this route for about $250 each way but I am not sure if this is still offered with the introduction of Rouge.
