Just wondering if this is normal or not. I booked a flight with BA ex LGW a few months ago and two days after I booked there was a time change of over two hours with the flight now departing at a nasty time of the morning. I eventually cancelled last week and decided to book the significantly cheaper Norwegian flight that was departing at a similar time to the new BA time. The call centre had no problem cancelling the flight and I received a full refund within 3 days (wow!)

However the flight still appears in MMB and is still showing as booked. I can change seats which stick and do everything I could before. The only difference from my other bookings is if I click to change flights it says I must call rather than allowing anything to be done online.

I seem to recall when I cancelled a redemption last year that a similar thing happened and the flight still showed in MMB until departure. Is this normal? Surely I shouldn’t be able to take up seats that somebody else might want to select?

Anyway, just wondering. I’ve got my money so I’m not overly concerned!
